Cinnaminson Police Remind Residents of IRS Phone Scam

Cinnaminson, NJ -- There have been numerous reports of IRS phone scams in Cinnaminson, police said Tuesday morning.

“Some calls threaten arrest if action is not taken,” Cinnaminson Police said in a statement. “The IRS does not make phone calls requesting personal information or money.”

Police remind residents not to give any personal information to anyone over the phone.

“The best course of action is to just hang up,” police said.
