Cinnaminson Resident Retires as Head of County Board of Social Services
Arthur Spell Jr. has been a member of the board since 1991, according to the Burlington County Times.

The Cinnaminson resident who has served as the head of the Burlington County Board of Social Services has retired after 21 years of service, the Burlington County Times reports.
Arthur Spell Jr., 82, was honored during the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders’ meeting Wednesday night, according to the report.
Spell joined the board in 1991, and was promoted to Vice Chair in 1993, according to the report. He’s served as Chairman for the last three years.

The board is the leading agency in developing and providing access to economic and social services for county residents, according to the board’s website.
Spell established the physical therapy department at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford before founding his own practice, according to his biography on the website.

He also provided physical therapy services in the Camden School District, and is a boxing time keeper for the State of New Jersey.
He earned his bachelor’s of science degree from Virginia Union University and his certificate of physical therapy from the University of Pennsylvania.
He’s an army veteran, and was President of the Cinnaminson Fire Company No. 2, President of the Burlington County Exempt Fireman’s Association, Chairman of the Cinnaminson Township Human Relations Commission, a member of the Cinnaminson Parks and Recreation Commission, and a member of the Cinnaminson Zoning Board.
