Cinnaminson Rita's Raising Awareness, Money in Fight Against TBI

Money raised will benefit a non-profit organization that helps support children and family affected by post-birth TBI.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- Rita’s Water Ice is helping raise awareness and money for the second annual Nichols Family For TBI at Memorial Park.

Money raised from sales at the Rita’s at 1811 Cinnaminson Avenue between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, will benefit Holton’s Heroes, a non-profit organization that helps support children and family affected by post-birth TBI. Customers should present the flyer attached to this post or mention Nichols Family TBI at the time of purchase.

The organization was started by Eric and Angela Weingrad, whose son Holton suffered from post-birth TBI.

Their goal is to help children and their families get the tools they need to combat the issue.

The walk takes place on Saturday, April 30, and is held in memory of Jeffrey Nichols, who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) when he fell in 2013. He died the following April, three days after his daughter, Lily, won $10,000 on the kids edition of the nationally televised cooking game show “Chopped!”

Registration on the day of the walk is at 9 a.m., with the walk set to begin at 10 a.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $3 for children. Shirts are also available for $10 the day of the walk. Pre-registration is also available by emailing NicholsFamilyTBIWalk@yahoo.com.
