The new super will take over following Salvatore Illuzzi's retirement, which is effective June 30, according to the Cinnaminson Sun.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Stephen Cappello has been named the Cinnaminson Public School District’s new Superintendent of Schools, the Cinnaminson Sun reports. Cappello is the district’s director of curriculum and instruction. He is also the district’s anti-bullying coordinator, and has already made an impact on the district in the year since he became a part of it.
“In his year in Cinnaminson, he very quickly established himself as a team player working for the best for all of our students and staff,” outgoing Superintendent Salvatore Illuzzi said, according to the report.
Illuzzi announced his retirement during the Dec. 20 Board of Education meeting. He was originally going to retire in 2014, but decided to stick around another few years to help with renovations in the school district.
