Cinnaminson Schools Exploring Options For 2020 Graduation
The Cinnaminson School District continues to evaluate options for graduation, the superintendent said on Thursday.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — Following this week's announcement by Gov. Phil Murphy that schools will remain closed for the rest of the academic year, the Cinnaminson Public School District continues to evaluate ways it can proceed for events scheduled for June, including graduation, the superintendent said on Thursday.
“We are evaluating options as a committee,” Cinnaminson Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephen Cappello said. “ … We don’t have any final decisions at this time.”
The decision to close schools for the rest of the academic year was not set in stone until Monday, when Murphy announced that students would not return to school this year. "I wouldn't put any nonrefundable checks down on your celebrations right now," he said. "It's hard to say otherwise. I'm hope I'm wrong but I fear that I am not."

School districts across the state have been holding off on plans for graduation in many cases hoping the restrictions on 10-person gatherings will be lifted by graduation time. Graduation for Cinnaminson High School students is currently scheduled for June 11.
