CINNAMINSON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Cinnaminson Township Committee Members recently awarded Asphalt Paving Systems of Hammonton a contract worth nearly $700,000 to fix part of Union Landing Road.

The contract, which was awarded at the Cinnaminson Township Committee Meeting on March 21, covers the company's work to mill, pave, curb and install several drainage inlets between Wallace Boulevard and near Hunter’s Farm, Township Administrator Eric Schubiger said in an interview.

These tasks are considered phase 2 and phase 3 of the road reconstruction work that has been going on for several years on Union Landing Road in the township, he continued. This part of the project is scheduled to begin in May and last about 4 to 6 weeks, he said.

"The project is being funded through a New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Grant, a New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Freight Impact Grant and previously authorized capital budget funding," Schubiger said said.

Township Mayor Stephanie Kravil told Patch the "project represents the township’s commitment to continually improving Cinnaminson’s transportation network and underscores the Township’s aggressive pursuit of grant funding to finance these important projects."
