Cinnaminson Upsets Jackson to Advance to Swimming Semifinals
The Pirates will face No. 1 seeded West Windsor Plainsboro South.

Ben Kern was a part of four victories as the fifth-seeded Cinnaminson High School swim team upset No. 4 Jackson Memorial, 102-68, to advance to the semifinals of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group B swim playoffs on Thursday, according to nj.com.
The Pirates will now travel to No. 1 West Windsor Plainsboro South, with the winner of that meet advancing the championship meet.
Kern won the 50 meter freestyle in 23.32 seconds, and the 100 freestyle in 51.12 seconds.

He was also part of the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:43.91) and the 200 medley relay (1:46.43).
Brian Finnan, who won four events in Cinnaminson’s first-round victory over Brick Memorial, won two individual events and participated in the 200 medley relay victory. He won the 100 butterfly (56.04) and the 100 breaststroke (1:03.68).

Lily Black also won two individual events. She captured the 200 freestyle in 1:57.17 and the 500 freestyle in 5:09.89.
