Cinnaminson Walmart Cuts Ribbon On Supercenter

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The newly renovated Walmart Supercenter at 2501 Route 130 South in Cinnaminson is open for business. A grand opening ceremony was held on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

“Along with our everyday low prices, this remodel reflects our continued dedication to increasing customer satisfaction,” Store Manager Candice Bailey said. “Another example is our online grocery pick-up option coming soon. For those days when our customers are particularly busy, it can be a tremendous help.”

The store says it brings a broad assortment of fresh groceries and general merchandise at everyday low prices. There is a full pharmacy, a tire and auto service center, and a free in-store pickup service. Customers can shop for millions of products on Walmart.com. The new store will employ up to 325 full- and part-time associates.

The Cinnaminson Walmart Supercenter will host three days worth of events leading up to a Big Family Welcome celebration for the community on Saturday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and again from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4. There will be activities for the entire family, along with free food samples and giveaways, while supplies last. See below for a detailed list of all events:

Customers of the Cinnaminson Walmart Supercenter will be able to order Walmart groceries online and pick them up without ever having to unbuckle their seat belts. They select from up to 100,000 online grocery items and choose the best time to pick up their items. A Walmart personal shopper loads the groceries into the customer’s vehicle upon arrival for free.

The store will employ up to 325 associates for full- and part-time positions. Applicants interested in careers at Walmart can apply at the store’s hiring kiosk or online, at Walmartcareers.com. At Walmart, more than 75 percent of store management teams started as hourly, in-store associates.

Bailey began her Walmart career 20 years ago as an hourly associate at a store in Manahawkin. Starting in 2015, Walmart began making a $2.7 billion investment over a two-year period in higher wages, more scheduling choices and further training for its associates.

As part of increased wages across the company, the average full-time hourly associate now makes $13.86 an hour in New Jersey. In 2017, 230,000 associates were promoted across the company into jobs with higher pay and increased responsibility. Forty percent of those promotions went to associates within the first year of their employment, according to the company.
