Cinnaminson Woman Recognized For Excellence In Nursing

Susan Deeney recently received the DAISY Award from Cooper University Health Care.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — A Cinnaminson woman is being recognized for providing exceptional nursing care. Susan Deeney, BSN, RN, recently won the DAISY Award from Cooper University Health Care, the health care organization announced on Thursday.

Deeney is an oncology nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper’s Voorhees office.

The DAISY Foundation established the DAISY Award, which celebrates the extraordinary care given by nurses every day. It is presented in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and it is an international program.

As a winner, Deeney will receive a DAISY Award recipient pin, a Healer’s Touch hand-carved statue, an award certificate, and a gift certificate to Cinnabon. Her unit will receive a banner to post for the quarter.
Anyone — patients, families, and professional colleagues — may nominate a Cooper nurse for The DAISY Award.

The DAISY nomination materials are located on nursing units and other public locations throughout the Cooper Camden campus and outpatient offices, as well as online through the Cooper website.
