Citizen Hero Recognized By Cinnaminson Police
James Pileckas received the Citizen Citation Award and an official Cinnaminson Police Challenge Coin on April 18.

CINNAMINSON, NJ - A Cinnaminson man who restrained a man who was high on bath salts last year was recently honored by the police department.
James Pileckas received the Citizen Citation Award and an official Cinnaminson Police Challenge Coin from Cinnaminson Police Chief Richard Calabrese and Officer Tim Obuchowski on April 18, according to the police department.
On April 22, 2018, Cinnaminson police were called to the area of Route 130 and Church Road for a report of a man who was banging on cars and attempting to get into them, police said. Upon arrival, officers found that Pikeckas was restraining the man in question, police said.

Police were able to secure the man and have him taken to a local hospital, where it was determined he was under the influence of bath salts, police said.
“Mr. Pileckas’ actions prevented the subject from hurting himself or anyone else and was a great assistance to the Cinnaminson Police Department in getting the subject secured,” police said in a Facebook post announcing the award.
