Crews Knock Down Condominium Fire In Florence Township

A number of emergency crews worked to contain the fire which broke out Sunday morning at the Florence Tollgate Condimuniums, officials said.

FLORENCE, NJ — No one was injured in a condominium fire Sunday morning in Florence Township, fire officials in Burlington County said.

On-duty Burlington County firefighters saw "heavy smoke and fire" coming from a building a Florence Tollgate Condominiums around 8 a.m. that day. Firefighters worked with central communications to call for assistance from nearby agencies, including the Florence Township Fire Department.

Central communications workers received calls that people were trapped inside, but paramedics were unable to check the doorway for victims because of the high heat and heavy smoke.

Multiple agencies responded to help fight the fire and look for residents, Burlington County IAFF 3091 said. All occupants were accounted for, and the fire was under control after about an hour.
