Crime in Camden Drops for the Summer of 2014

There were fewer homicides in the City this summer than each of the previous two summers, the Courier Post reports.

Crime in Camden dropped dramatically over the summer, the Courier Post reports.

There were six murders in Camden between June 1 and Aug. 31. There were 16 last summer and 21 in the summer of 2012, according to the report.

Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson told the Courier Post he doesn’t remember a summer that was “this free of incidents,” in his roughly 20 years in the City.
