Delran Man Accused of Sexual Assault Seeks Amended Charges
Joseph Carter and his wife Jennifer have been charged with more than 50 crimes relating to the sexual assault of 3 teens.

A Delran man accused of sexually abusing three teenagers is looking to have some the charges brought against him in a 36-count indictment dropped, the Burlington County Times reports.
Joseph Carter, 44, and his wife Jennifer, 40, have been charged with more than 50 first- and second-degree crimes relating to the sexual assault of three teenagers.
Jennifer Carter claims she was also a victim of her husband’s crimes, according to the report.

Detectives in Burlington County initially became aware of the first victim, a 14-year-old boy, in 2012.
The boy claimed he was abused by both adults for years. Further investigation revealed two more victims, eventually identified by detectives through numerous search warrants for cellular telephones, computers and DNA.

The Carters were charged in 2012. Their attorney is seeking to have their pretrial conferences delayed, according to the report.
