MacArthur’s results were released the same day the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a new attack ad against him. This advertisement focuses on a lawsuit a labor union filed against a company run by MacArthur about a year before MacArthur stepped down as head of the company, according to the report.
The Democratic Congressional Committee was forced to remove two previous advertisements from the air that targeted MacArthur because they were proven to be misleading.

The advertisements are put together and aired independent of Belgard’s campaign. Still, MacArthur has criticized Belgard throughout the campaign for not condemning the commercials, including during a recent debate between the two in Moorestown.
