Diamond Classic Game Between Cinnaminson And Cherry Hill West Postponed

The game has been rescheduled due to expected inclement weather, the Courier Post reports.

The first round of the 44th annual Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic has been postponed at least one day due to expected inclement weather, the Courier Post reports. Cinnaminson will now face Cherry Hill West on Sunday afternoon, 4 p.m., at Deptford. The winner will play the winner of the game between Haddon Heights and Shawnee in the second round.

All games in the tournament previously scheduled for Saturday will now be played on Sunday, according to the report. If there is rain on Sunday, games will be played during the week.

Cinnaminson qualified for the tournament as the first place team in the Burlington County League’s Liberty Division, according to nj.com. Cherry Hill West earned an at-large bid to the competition.

A total of 16 teams from what is traditionally considered the South Jersey area will compete in the tournament, with 10 teams qualifying because they were in first place in their division at the cutoff date and six other teams earning at-large bids.

Cinnaminson is 7-7 this season, according to nj.com. Cherry Hill West is 10-4.
