Drive-Up Food Event In Burlington County Set For Friday
Burlington County officials will host a drive-up food distribution event this week, amid the outbreak of new coronavirus.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Burlington County officials will host a drive-up food distribution event this week, amid the outbreak of new coronavirus.
The event will take place at the TIC Building, 2001 Bishops Gate Boulevard in Mt. Laurel from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Those attending must enter from Briggs Road. Vehicles cannot enter from Route 38.
“The Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders is dedicated to supporting our residents during this world-wide public health crisis so that they remain safe, have a place to stay, and have enough to eat,” Burlington County Freeholder Director Felicia Hopson said. “This is an uncertain time and many of our community members are struggling to pay for basic necessities. It is our hope that the Drive-up Food Distribution events will help anyone in need.”

The county is partnering with Holman Enterprises, Food Bank of South Jersey & Farmers Against Hunger for the event, which will take place on a first-come, first-served basis. More distribution dates are being scheduled for May.

The event is for vehicles only. Pedestrians will not be allowed. There is a limit of one box per family. Participants must keep their windows closed and wear masks.
