Drive-By Shooting Kills Man Outside Club In Burlington Co.: Prosecutor

An unknown gunman fired multiple shots into a crowd, authorities said.

WILLINGBORO, NJ — An unknown gunman fired multiple shots toward a crowd, killing a man outside of a social club in Burlington County, authorities said.

Major Hamilton, 45, was shot in the chest at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday outside of Diamond Dogz on the first block of John F. Kennedy Way in Willingboro, officials said. The township resident succumbed to his injuries an hour later at Virtua Willingboro Hospital, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office (BCPO).

Several people were outside when a dark-colored vehicle appeared in the roadway and crept along, according to law enforcement. A gunman shot multiple rounds toward the crowd from the vehicle, the BCPO said.

No arrests have been announced as of this writing.
