Driver Charged With DWI For Hitting South Jersey Man, Fleeing: Police

The pedestrian had critical injuries after being hit Tuesday afternoon. Police charged a Vineland woman with DWI and leaving the scene.

EVESHAM, NJ — Police in Burlington County arrested a drunk driving suspect whom they say hit a man and fled the scene, leaving him unconscious in the road.

Evesham Township Police say the driver hit a 51-year-old Marlton man near the intersection of Kings Grants Drive and East Coventry Circle, around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver fled, police said. The pedestrian was unconscious, laying on the shoulder of the road with critical injuries. Evesham Fire-Rescue transported the man to Cooper Hospital, police said. He is now in stable condition, according to police.

While on scene, officers found the vehicle hood emblem from a Nissan, and started looking in the area for a car that matched the damage. One officer found a black Nissan with a shattered windshield on Canterbury Court.

Police located video footage "showing the driver parking and exiting the vehicle shortly after the motor vehicle collision," a news release said.

Officers found the driver, 25-year-old Nicole Bosco, nearby on Canterbury Court, police said.

Police arrested Bosco, of Vineland, for driving while intoxicated and a third-degree charge of knowingly leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury, Evesham police said. She was released on her own recognizance ahead of a mandatory court date, according to police.
