Project Description: My project took place at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. I fixed the hedgerow surrounding the parking lot. Some of the hedges were dead and huge gaps appeared throughout the hedgerow. I replaced the dead hedges and planted new hedges where there were none.
Also where we found buried cloth we had to cut it away because it was choking out the hedges. The whole process took about three weeks. At the same time I watered and cared for the hedges waiting for the mulch to arrive.
When the mulch arrived, the real work began. This part of the project took the longest. Spreading the mulch took about four weeks even with all the help I received. Also the hedges were trimmed, watered, and other care was given.
After all the work was done the hedgerow was complete once again. It was satisfying to see the results of your work after everything is done. The look of the finished project made it all worthwhile.
The project was completed June 2.
