“We’re pleased to offer a 'Food for Fines' drive, which will help our customers wipe away longstanding library fines while at the same time lend a helping hand to our neighbors and furry friends in need,” Burlington County Library System Director Ranjna Das said. “While fines will be waived for up to ten donated items, customers are welcome and encouraged to donate more. We look forward to seeing some returning faces in our library locations during this amnesty week.”
“We are hopeful that residents will take this opportunity to clear library fines, rejoin our strong reading community, and enjoy all the improved facilities and programming, like the Museum Passes and the always exciting musical performances in the library’s auditorium,” Burlington County Freeholder Felicia Hopson said. “This is the first time in four years that the BCLS is hosting a 'food for fines' drive.”
