Federal Grant for Delran Fire Department
The grant was part of a combined $1,056,846 in grants announced on Wednesday.

The Delran Fire Department will receive a $228,705 federal Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) to improve safety and operations, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker announced on Wednesday.
It is part of a combined $1,056,846 in grants, including $185,651 for Atlantic City, that were announced on Wednesday.
Additionally, Berlin Fire Company No. 1 will receive $279,762 and the Bloomfield Fire Department will receive $362,728.

The AFG program is administered by the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). DHS also announced today the following competitive grants to New Jersey fire departments:
Since it was established in 2001, New Jersey has received over $160 million in funding from the AFG program to enhance response capabilities, as well as to more effectively protect the health and safety of the public and emergency response personnel.
