Final Results Reflect Close Race for Burlington County Freeholder

The final results are in for the Burlington County Freeholders race. While all four candidates picked up a significant number of votes after the provisional ballots were cast, the results remained the same, and just as tight.

Official results show that Republicans Kate Gibbs and Ryan Peters unseated Democrats Aimee Belgard and Joanne Schwartz.

Gibbs’ final tally was 31,939 and Peters had 31,839. Belgard had 30,268 votes, followed by Schwartz with 29,856. There were a total of 100 “personal choice” ballots cast.

The Republicans each earned over 25 percent of the vote, while the Democrats each earned over 24 percent.
