Hunter's Heroes, a non-profit formed to honor the memory of Lt. Christopher Hunter, will make an additional donation Tuesday night.

Firefighters of all levels who have a Burlington County Library card can now borrow fire service books from library thanks to a donation of 25 books from the Hunter’s Heroes Foundation. Hunter’s Heroes is a non-profit group which was formed recently to honor the memory of Cinnaminson Fire Department Lt. Christopher Hunter.

Hunter’s Heroes will make an additional donation to library officials on Tuesday night, July 7, at 6 p.m. at the Cinnaminson Branch on Riverton Road.

Hunter’s Heroes will also present a check to the library in front of about 50 family members and friends of Lt. Hunter during the ceremony Tuesday night.

Lt. Christopher Hunter, 38, passed away suddenly on Nov. 15, 2014 after working his shift with the Cinnaminson Fire Department and responding to emergency incidents. A lifelong Cinnaminson resident, he had joined the department as a junior firefighter while still in high school and became a career firefighter with the department in 1998. In 2004, Hunter received a meritorious service award from the 200 Club of Burlington County for his role in rescuing an Alzheimer’s patient from a burning apartment in Delran.

As a lieutenant with the Cinnaminson Fire Department, Hunter was constantly reading and training to better himself and his department. Members of the Hunter’s Heroes Foundation hope many others will follow his example by taking advantage of the new library books now in circulation.
