UPDATE: Five Things to Know About Monday Night's Committee Meeting in Cinnaminson
The township is expected to save over $15,000 following its bond sale, and the Cookout With Cops is Thursday.

Cinnaminson Committee discussed the following items, among others, when it met Monday night at the municipal building:
- Cinnaminson recently sold a bond anticipate to save township residents over $15,000, Deputy Mayor Kathy Fitzpatrick said. She also said the capital budget has been approved and projects are underway. A copy of the budget is currently available on the township’s website, and can be viewed by clicking here.
- Cinnaminson Police Lt. Tim Young graduated from the FBI National Academy Program on June 12. Young was part of a graduating class of 218 , representing 47 states and 22 countries. He took classes on physical fitness, leadership, labor law, statement analysis, communication and media relations. The 10-week program located at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. The program is internationally known for its academic excellence and is offered free of charge to the selected students and their agencies. Training for the program is provided by the FBI Academy instructional staff, Special Agents and other staff members holding advanced degrees, many of whom are recognized internationally in their fields of expertise. Generally, less than 1 percent of those who apply for the program are accepted.
- The Cookout With Cops is set for Thursday, June 18, noon-4 p.m. at the police department, 900 Manor Road. McCarthy called it an “opportunity to say thank you to police officers.” There will be inflatable rides, a dunk-a-cop tank and a “cop card roundup,” which provides residents the chance to learn more about their local police officers by collecting police officer “baseball cards.”
- For the second year in a row, the Cinnaminson Mayor spent time on top of Sam’s Club for charity. McCarthy sat atop Sam’s Club for four hours on Friday, alongside Palmyra Mayor Karen Scheffler to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The tradition began last year when Cinnaminson Mayor Anthony Minniti also sat atop Sam’s Club’s roof, for the same charities.
- This year’s Cinnaminson Day is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 18, with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 25, Committeeman Don Brauckmann said. The Christmas Tree Lighting is set for Friday, Dec. 4, with a rain date of Friday, Dec. 11.
