Donna Bucia admitted to stealing the funds over a five-year period, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The former office manager of the Riverton Country Club was sentenced to 364 days in Burlington County Jail for stealing nearly $191,000 over a five-year period, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced.
Donna Bucia, 59, of Cherry Hill, previously pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree theft by deception and one count of third-degree failure to pay state income taxes. She will also be subject to two years probation.
Members of the Riverton Country Club Board of Trustees discovered accounting discrepancies shortly after Bucia left the organization in the summer of 2015 and became suspicious, according to the prosecutor’s office.

In an ensuing investigation, detectives discovered she was pocketing the cash that was coming into the club and depositing checks to cover the amount she had stolen, according to the prosecutor’s office.
This happened between January 2011 and Bucia’s departure in 2015, the prosecutor’s office said. During that time, Bucia oversaw bookkeeping at the private, member-owned club.
