Free Groceries For Cinnaminson Residents - Here's How To Get Them

WESTAMPTON, NJ — A drive-thru food pantry will provide free groceries to residents of Cinnaminson and all of Burlington County on Saturday, a county spokesperson said.

This drive-through food pantry will be from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking lot behind the Burlington County Institute of Technology at 695 Woodlane Road in Westampton, David Levinsky, the county spokesperson added.

Those who do not have a vehicle are also welcome to take advantage of the pantry, according to Levinsky.

"We’ll have some reusable bags on hand that we can fill for any residents who show up without a vehicle," he said.

The need for food pantries such as the one on Saturday has grown over the years, noted Burlington County Commissioner Felicia Hopson.

"We started the program during COVID-19 because we saw how the pandemic was impacting many county residents’ finances," she said. "We’re continuing to hold these food distribution events because we know food insecurity is still an issue."

About 6 percent of Burlington County residents live in poverty, said Census Reporter.

That total includes about 8 percent of all Burlington County children aged younger than 18 years and about 5 percent of all Burlington County adults aged older than 65 years, that website said.
