The Goddard School Preschoolers in Mt. Laurel Win National Art Contest

Children Created Artwork Incorporating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math)

Local preschoolers at The Goddard School in Mt. Laurel, NJ won a national art contest against more than 400 other Goddard Schools from across the nation. Students created colorful and playful works of art incorporating concepts they learned from their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) lessons.

The winning piece was created by the Kindergarten class, who collaborated using their bodies, a yard stick, yarn and plastic cups to create a lively pendulum masterpiece. Their winning artwork earned them a large assortment of art supplies plus a visit from Goddard Systems CEO, Joe Schumacher and its VP of Education, Craig Back, for a private, hands-on lesson and art project on Nov. 13, 2015.
