Heavy Fire Tears Through Factory In Burlington Co.
A dozen workers safely escaped before first responders arrived.
BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A dozen employees safely evacuated while heavy flames burned through a factory Thursday night in Burlington Township, officials said.
The second-alarm fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. at the American Custom Drying manufacturing facility on Elbow Lane.
The Delanco Fire Company shared a photo showing heavy fire and smoke at the factory.

Initially, firefighters received word that several workers were trapped inside. But all 12 employees evacuated before first responders arrived, according to CBS News Philadelphia.
The fire was placed under control around 10:15 p.m.

Hazmat personnel were on-scene. But there is no concern to the surrounding community at this time, officials told NBC10 Philadelphia.
It wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
