In 2017, Burlington County police officers issued 9,324 tickets, the sixth highest of all the New Jersey counties, according to <a href="http://www.nj.com/traffic/index.ssf/2018/04/where_did_the_fast_and_the_furious_get_the_most_sp.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">New Jersey State Police data</a> reported by nj.com. It was a decrease from 2016, when 10,606 tickets were issued. That was the most summonses issued in the past five years.Middlesex County ranked the highest in the state, issuing 13,841 summonses to drivers.
