Here's How Much Cinnaminson Teachers Are Paid

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Teachers in the Cinnaminson Public School District are the 151st highest paid in the state, according to data recently released by the state ahead of the 2019-20 school year.

The school district pays teachers a median salary of $72,359, which is 3.56 percent more than last year, when it was $69,873.

This is more than the state median of $68,985, a 1.6 percent increase over last year. Overall, 232 school districts pay more than the state median.

The released information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending that was just released, showing the median salary in every New Jersey school district and charter school.

"The median salary information may be misleading in a number of ways," Cinnaminson Superintendent of Schools Stephen Cappello said. "The median measure does not take into account information such as the experience level of the district staff, additional compensation, health benefits, or district turnover. In Cinnaminson, we offer a competitive salary structure that attracts the top talent that we demand to ensure our students have the best educators possible."

In addition to median salaries, the site also shows each district's total spending, average daily enrollment and students from sending districts, the per-pupil costs and the district's total budget spending for 2018 and 2019.

The school district spent a total of $53,539,780 in the 2017-18 school year, at a cost of $21,113 per pupil. The student to teacher ratio is 11:9. It was 11:5 last year. For the full guide for the Cinnaminson School District, visit nj.gov.
