A Trenton man attempted to flee police in Burlington County on New Year’s Eve, but the high-speed chase ended when he crashed into a concrete divider on Route 130, police said.

Akeem Valentine-Adebayo, 24, was hospitalized when his Hyundai Sonata struck a center divider at the intersection of Route 130 and Rising Sun Road in Bordentown Monday night, police said. He hit the barricade while fleeing an attempted traffic stop at about 8:12 p.m. on Dec. 31, according to Bordentown Township police.

A high-speed chase ensued, but ended when he lost control of his car, went airborne and struck the barrier, police said. After hitting the barrier, the car began to flip and hit a utility pole and a mailbox before it came to a stop on the side of the road, according to police.
