Homeless Man Will Pay It Forward After Woman Raises $380K For Him
Johnny Bobbitt spent his last $20 to help her get home. She raised $380K for him, and the two appeared on Good Morning America on Sunday.

When Johnny Bobbitt Jr. gave a Burlington County woman his last $20 to get gas when she broke down on I-95, he wasn’t expecting anything in return. Now, he has more than $380,000.
"It's like winning the lottery," Bobbitt told Good Morning America during an interview on Sunday. He also said he plans to donate a portion of the money raised to others in need.
"This money was given to help me. Why not help other people in similar situations or people that are actively helping other people in different situations?" he said.

Kate McClure, of Florence, ran out of gas while driving into Philadelphia on I-95. She had no money, and was frightened when she pulled over to the side of the road. A homeless man named Johnny approached the car and told her not to get out and to lock the door. He disappeared and returned a short while later with a red can of gas. He used his last $20 to make sure she could get home safe.
To return the favor, she and her boyfriend Mark D’Amico visited Bobbitt several times at the exit ramp in which she broke down, offering gift cards, money and other necessities. Then they came up with the idea to launch the "Paying It Forward" GoFundMe campaign, which drew the attention of the media both locally and nationally. The campaign launched on Nov. 10, and more than 12,000 people have donated to it.
