Lantern Release to Help Cope With Loss of Child in Cinnaminson

The event is May 20.

Cinnaminson, NJ -- An event designed to help those who lost a child prematurely cope with the loss comes to Cinnaminson next month.

A Pregnancy, Infant and Child Loss Remembrance Lantern Release is set for Friday, May 20, 8 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson.

The event is put together by Peaceful Welcomings Doula Services.

“By releasing the lanterns we will be releasing grief and celebrating our children at the same time,” the event’s organizers said.

Attendees will receive their lanterns at 8 p.m. They will also receive a sharpie they can use to write a message and/or their child’s name on the lantern.

“We will have time to meet others who have had similar experiences and talk,” organizers said. “Support is found in numbers.”

Lanterns will be released around 8:30 p.m.
