Last Second TD Propels Cinnaminson Football Team In Playoffs

The Pirates defeated Shore Regional to advance in the playoffs.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — It took a last second touchdown pass to help the Cinnaminson High School football team advance in the playoffs. Literally.

Quarterback Shawn Ruffin and Carmen Saginario hooked up on a short touchdown pass with one second left in the game to lead the No. 3 Pirates to a 7-0 win over No. 6 Shore Regional in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to nj.com.

Cinnaminson will visit No. 2 Manasquan in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 10, 1 p.m. The championship game is set for Nov. 16. To view the full bracket, visit nj.com.
