CINNAMINSON, NJ — There was some good news for businesses, a change to the school calendar and another reported death this week as Cinnaminson continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday, Cinnaminson Township Committee gave its final approval to a proposed ordinance to expand outdoor dining in the township. Township Committee approved the proposal that allows restaurants and bars in the township to serve food and drink outside for 120 days with a vote of 5-0. There was some news for families interested in when schools will resume amid the pandemic. On Tuesday, the Cinnaminson Board of Education voted to delay the start of the school year by six days, pushing the start date back from Sept. 2 to Sept. 8. As of Thursday night, there were 207 cases of the coronavirus in Cinnaminson with 26 confirmed deaths. Burlington County has 5,769 cases of the coronavirus with 443 confirmed deaths and 48 probable deaths.
At Wynwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Cinnaminson, there remain 89 cases among the nursing home’s residents with 20 deaths and 26 among staff members with no deaths.
