Learn About The Montessori Experience With Barbette Robillard

Robillard is an AMI trained primary guide with over 20 years of teaching experience. She will discuss the academy's philosophical approach.

DELRAN, NJ - Guest speaker Barbette Robillard will join faculty at the Montessori Academy Delran to discuss the school’s philosophical approach during a presentation early next month.

“The Journey & Discovery: A Montessori Experience” will take place on Friday, Feb. 1, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. It continues on Saturday, Feb. 2, 8:30 a.m. to noon. The Montessori Academy, established in 1965, is located at 28 Conrow Road in Delran, NJ 08075.

Robillard, along with the MANJ faculty, will guide participants through a hands-on experience with the Montessori materials and a discussion of the Montessori philosophical approach from toddler through elementary classes.

Registration is open through Jan. 25. To register, call Tracey at 856-461-2121. Montessori is asking for a $20 donation during registration.

Robillard is an AMI trained primary guide with over 20 years of teaching experience. She has a BA in Art Therapy and AMI Primary Diploma from the Washington Montessori Institute. Barbette’s teaching career began at Montessori Academy. She became a new teacher and a mother in the same year., Her oldest son was a student in MANJ’s first Toddler Community. Both of her sons progressed through the entire primary and elementary curriculum at MANJ.

Barbette worked for 17 years at MANJ before her family moved to Bucks County, PA. There, she co-founded Secret Garden Montessori School located in Frenchtown, NJ. Barbette is a visual artist and enjoys sharing this skill as well as interests in gardening, sewing and cooking with her students. She lives with her husband, Bob in Point Pleasant, PA. Her eldest son, Zachary graduated from Millersville University with a degree in Physics and her youngest son, Jacob attends Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.
