Legislative Breakfast, Film Festival: Cinnaminson Monday Manual

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Welcome to the May 9 edition of the Cinnaminson Monday Manual, where we highlight important events coming up this week in and around Cinnaminson.
On Monday at 3:45 p.m., Cinnaminson Library hosts a Bad Art Afternoon (no, not a bad hair day), a Bad Art Afternoon for kids.
On Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Cinnaminson Township School District holds a school board meeting inside the Cinnaminson Middle School. A number of routine matters, such as the district’s bills and activities reports, are on the agenda, as are several new items, such as award presentations.

On Wednesday at 11 a.m., the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a new member meet-up and a lunch. Pre-registration, whether you are a member of the chamber or not, is an absolute must.
Also on Wednesday, at 7 p.m., at The Merion, a bridal showcase featuring wedding fashions, entertainment, displays and more takes place.

On Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Cinnaminson Library invites all older adults to come and try some tai chi. (For what it is worth, at least one group of researchers has concluded Tai chi can improve participants’ balance and strength.)
Also on Thursday, at 5 p.m., it’s day one of Burlington County's first-ever Juried Short Film Festival at the Burlington County Library Westampton Branch. Nearly 30 films will be screened during the 2-day event.
Later that day, at 6:30 p.m. and at Cinnaminson Library, adults are invited to an in-person event where author Keith Mason talks about his memoir "Please Stand Up" -- the anything-but-typical story of how Mason found some members of his family.
On Friday at 8 a.m., the Public Policy Council of the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a breakfast featuring members of New Jersey’s 8th legislative district.
Then at 5 p.m. on Friday, it is the second and final day of Burlington County’s first-ever Juried Short Film Festival at the Burlington County Library Westampton Branch.
On Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m., Burlington County hosts a paper shredding event at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Center.
