Local Author, Illustrator Visits Montessori Academy in Delran

Local author and illustrator Michael Dooling visited students at the Montessori Academy Delran on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Dooling has illustrated 64 books written four, and visited over 900 schools nationwide in an effort to inspire children to read, write and draw.

He gave toddlers and adolescents a behind-the-scenes look at creating a picture book.

The students were especially interested to see a replica Dinosaur bone—from the Haddonfield Hadrosaurus—and to create their own illustrations.

After the presentation, Dooling discussed drawing further with students and staff over lunch.
