Longtime BurlCo Ice Cream Shop In Burlington Co. Reopens Under New Ownership
The retro-style restaurant stood for generations. It had been closed for a year after the prior owners listed it for sale.

DELRAN, NJ — One year after closing, a longtime ice cream shop in Delran has reopened under new ownership.
Castle Harbor Drive-In is celebrating its grand opening week, marking the end of uncertainty about the restaurant's future after the property was listed for sale last year.
The retro-style restaurant stood for generations, serving ice cream, breakfast and lunch.

But last February, then-owner Jim Dapontes announced that Castle Harbor would not be reopening. Castle Harbor had been on its annual winter hiatus and was previously scheduled to reopen that month.
The property was listed for sale.

Over the summer, owners Jim and Debra Dapontes sold the restaurant to an entity entitled Castle Harbor Riverside LLC, according to property records.
Castle Harbor has now reopened with at least one significant change in place. After previously closing daily after lunch, the restaurant now plans to serve dinner on weekends.
Here are the posted hours:
- Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (weather permitting)
Castle Harbor Drive-In is located at 59 Saint Mihiel Dr., Delran.
