A man with a gun was in the area of the two schools, but was never on school property, police said.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — A pair of Cinnaminson schools were put on lockdown Wednesday afternoon while police handled a situation involving a suicidal man in the area, according to the police department.
Cinnaminson High School and Eleanor Rush Elementary School were put into lockdown after police received a report of a possibly suicidal man who may have had a gun in the area at about 2:14 p.m., police said.
Police were able to use the man’s cell phone to track him to a parking lot on Route 130, and took him into custody without incident.
