Man Punched In Face Outside Burlington County Wawa: Police

The suspect knocked down a food rack in the store and then reached into a victim's car to assault him, authorities said.

PALMYRA, NJ — A man caused a disturbance Thursday at Wawa before punching someone in the face outside, according to Palmyra police.

Officers went to the 600 Cinnaminson Ave. store at 5:41 p.m. for a report of multiple assaults. Terrance Roberts, 56, of Camden, was charged with simple assault (two counts), lewdness, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and defiant trespass.

Before the assaults, Roberts entered Wawa and threw a rack of food on the ground, police said. He left the store after the manager confronted him, according to Palmyra Police Lt. Josiah Murphy.

Outside of the store, Roberts asked a man for money, authorities said. During the encounter, Roberts reached into the man's car and punched him in the face, Murphy said.

One person refused treatment for a minor injury after the incident.

Roberts, who also had three outstanding warrants, was placed in the Burlington County Jail.
