Man Sexually Assaulted Young Girl, Took Nude Pic Of Boy: Cops
A Maple Shade man has been convicted of sexual assaulting a girl under 5 years old and taking a nude photo of a young boy, police said.

A 22-year-old man has admitted to sexually assaulting a girl he knew who was younger than 5 years old in South Jersey earlier this year, authorities announced. Jermaine J. Ward, of Maple Shade, also admitted that he took a nude picture of a young boy in Pennsauken earlier this year, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.
Ward pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He faces 15 years in prison for the sexual assault and five years for the endangering charge, with the two sentences running consecutively. Sentencing is scheduled for March 15, 2019.
Ward is being prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Eife, supervisor of the Special Victims Section of the BCPO Major Crimes Unit. The Burlington County case was investigated by detectives from the Maple Shade Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation was led by Maple Shade Detective Scott Supernowicz and BCPO Detective Mel Rodgers.
