Man Stabs, Kills Brother After Argument In Burlington Co.: Prosecutor

The incident occurred at a family home, authorities said.

WILLINGBORO, NJ — A man fatally stabbed his brother after an argument at a family home in Willingboro, authorities said.

Carl Agyemang was charged with first-degree murder and other offenses in the Aug. 24 death of his brother, Floyd Agyemang, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office (BCPO). Carl, 26, of Willingboro, remained incarcerated in the county jail as of Friday.

Officers were dispatched at 11:15 a.m. Aug. 24 for a reported stabbing at a home on the first block of Hepburn Lane in Willingboro. Floyd, 23, had been stabbed in the chest, the BCPO said.

Willingboro police found Carl in the area shortly after he fled on foot, authorities said. He had a knife on him, believed to have been used in the killing, which police recovered, according to the BCPO.

An ambulance took Floyd to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m. that night. The county medical examiner, who performed an autopsy, ruled the death a homicide caused by stabbing.

Prosecutors plan to present the case to a grand jury for possible indictment.
