Man Who Broke Into Car In School Parking Lot Arrested: Police

The Cinnaminson man was arrested on Thursday.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — A Cinnaminson man was arrested after he attempted to break into a car in the Cinnaminson Middle School parking lot, police said on Friday.

Brian Zimmerman, 41, was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree credit card theft and defiant trespassing after police responded to a report of a dispute just before 8 a.m. Thursday morning.

Responding police officers discovered that a suspicious man had broken into a staff member’s car. When Cinnaminson police approached Zimmerman, he fled on foot, police said.

He was arrested without incident after police found him using a K-9 track, police said. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.

In 2011, Zimmerman was sentenced to five years in state prison in connection with a string of burglaries, including one at St. Charles Borromeo School, according to the Burlington County Times.
