Manhunt After South Jersey Man Killed In Newark: Police
A Voorhees man was killed early Sunday morning in Newark.

A South Jersey man was fatally shot in Newark over the weekend, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced on Tuesday.
Michael Shendock, 38, of Voorhees was one of two men who were found suffering from gunshot wounds by Newark police officers just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, according to authorities.
Both men were taken to University Hospital. Shendock was pronounced dead at 5:32 am at the hospital. The second man, whose name was not released by authorities, was treated and survived his injuries.
