Menendez to Introduce Legislation on Missing Children Alert Program
The senator will speak at Burlington County College.

Sen. Robert Menendez, D-NJ, plans to reintroduce legislation that would assist nonprofit organizations and local law enforcement to recover missing children, the elderly, college students on campus, and the disabled through an alert program called "A Child is Missing" (ACIM).
The senator is holding a press conference 10 a.m. Monday at Burlington County College in Mt. Laurel to talk about the legislation, and afterward, a free training session will be provided for law enforcement.
Menendez introduced similar legislation last Congress, which passed the House of Representatives and the Senate Judiciary Committee, but was blocked in the Senate.

ACIM works hand-in-hand with local law enforcement to place thousands of calls within minutes in the area the child/missing person was last seen. It also provides free training to local law enforcement.
Later in the morning, the senator will visit West Deptford to talk about Medicare and Medicaid. Read about his visit .
