Mindfulness Prayer Writing Workshop in Cinnaminson Sunday
The session is 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Temple Sinai Sisterhood will host a Mindfulness Prayer Writing Workshop on Sunday, Oct. 18, at its building at 2101 New Albany Road in Cinnaminson. The session is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Rabbi Yael Levy, one of the spiritual leaders at Miskan Shalom in Philadelphia, will lead the session. The Jewish Daily Forward name Levy as one of “America’s Most Inspiring Rabbis” last year.
Levy created A Way In, the Jewish Mindfulness organization at Miskan Shalom, which weaves together Jewish tradition and Mindfulness practice encouraging the community to live in reverent relationship with each other and with the planet.

An example of his work includes the original Psalm 94:19 which reads “When my cares are many within, Your comforts delight my soul”.
Levy’s rewriting is “When anxious thoughts fill me, Your comfort soothes and delights my soul. May comfort find us.”

“I have participated in several services and activities led by Rabbi Yael and it is a unique Jewish practice that I wanted my congregation and the Jewish community in South Jersey to encounter,” Temple Sinai Sisterhood President Becky Siman said. “This is a meaningful way to start 5776 and carry through 2016.”
She said she hopes attendees have a different type of spiritual experience by attending this session.
Participants can expect:
· An experience of Jewish Mindful Meditation that calls on the wisdom of Jewish tradition and opens participants to new discoveries
· A journey through the poetry and yearnings of the Psalms
· Time for personal reflection
· An opportunity to listen to and articulate prayers from our hearts and souls
