This classic rock musical is a product of the hippie counterculture and sexual revolution of the late 1960's. Follow the tribe through the "Age of Aquarius" as they fight against enrollment in the Vietnam War with love and the understanding of others. Ultimately, one member of the tribe is forced to decide whether he is going to resist the draft or succumb to the pressures of his parents and society. Let the sun shine in with the classic musical Hair at the Grande Theatre! This is the final weekend of the show.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Opening Weekend

In Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize-winning Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, the dysfunctional but wealthy Pollitt family gathers to celebrate aging patriarch Big Daddy's birthday. But there is more to this gathering than a family reunion; Big Daddy is dying of cancer and he hasn't decided which of his sons will inherit the estate. His options include favorite son Brick, who drinks himself into oblivion in order to bear the oppressive expectations of his determined wife, Maggie, or his less-favored son Gooper, hiswife, Mae, and their five "no-neck monster" children. Lurking under every practiced interaction between the Pollitts is an ulterior motive, under every smile, a challenge, and under every statement, the specter of mendacity. The show runs through May 26.

Voices & Colors: Vietnamese Dong Ho Paintings

Voice and Colors: Vietnamese Dong Ho Paintings is an exhibition that features the works of the master artists, Nguyen Thi Oanh and Nguyen Huu Tao, created in the unique style of the Dong Ho woodblock printing and painting. The artwork presents a continuation of the work of Nguyen Huu Sam, recognized by UNESCO as a "living human treasure." The Dong Ho folk paintings are included in the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage as Asia and the Pacific. The exhibition is open through July 22. MORE >

Live Music Series

Sharrott Winery, Hammonton

Enjoy an afternoon of live music and wine tasting at Sharrott Winery! Live music will be on the patio overlooking the vineyard. Seating is limited so you are encouraged to bring a blanket and chairs for use on the lawn. Admission is free and wine tasting is $8 per person and includes six samples of Sharrott wines and a souvenir glass.

Live Music Weekends

Another week has ended meaning it's time to sit back and relax with some wine and live music! The Iron Plow stage is set for local singer-songwriters to swoon you while you enjoy a wine flight, wine by the glass or bottle, and an artisan cheese and charcuterie menu. Tonight's performance is from Lefty Mann. There is no cover charge.

Saturdays on the Crushpad

Hawk Haven Vineyard, Rio Grande

Warm up your palate with an educational wine tasting, then head to the crushpad with a glass of your favorite wine and kick back, relax, and enjoy Hawk Haven's vineyard views. Guests can also try one of Hawk Haven's new wine flights featuring four small glasses of red or white wines and pair it with something from the Barrel Room Cheese Shop. A variety of musical performances by local singer-songwriters round off the evening into a perfect getaway.

Pine Barrens Discovery Tour

Trek along the edges of the Mullica River and discover its secrets. Join Pinelands Adventures Naturalist, John Volpa, for the Pine Barrens Sampler, a three-hour exploration of Pine Barrens life. This program includes a shore walk to learn about the uplands and Atlantic Cedar Swamp habitats, conduct a water quality survey, try dip and seine netting. You will discover native plants and animals around every corner of the trail as you walk an easy pace. Find out what fish, frogs, and bugs can tell you about their Pine Barrens home.

The Magic Tree House: Space Mission

Jack and Annie are off on another exciting new adventure in the world's only full-dome planetarium show based on The Magic Tree House series. The adventure begins when Jack and Annie discover a mysterious note, singed only with an "M," that is filled with questions about space. Their search to answer the questions for "M" and solve the mystery leads them on a journey from their home into deepest space. The two set out to discover the secrets of the sun, moon, planets, space travel, and more. Don't miss this exiting show at the Edelman Planetarium, at Rowan University!
