National Night Out to be Held Behind Cinnaminson Town Hall Aug. 5

The event is between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

Cinnaminson will join the rest of the country in celebrating National Night Out.

Cinnaminson’s celebration takes place Tuesday night, Aug. 5, 5-10 p.m. behind town hall, according to a post on the township’s website.

The event is designed to improve relationships between the community and the police department, as well as help neighbors get to know each other a little better.

First held in 1984, the event has grown to include over 37.8 million people and 16,124 communities from all 50 states, U.S. Territories, and Canada, as well as military bases worldwide.

It is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of various crime prevention programs.
