New Amenities May Come To Riverton Country Club
The country club first opened in 1900, its website said.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — The Riverton Country Club appears to be looking to expand its footprint on Cinnaminson's recreational scene.
The facility currently has a pool, bowling alley, golf courses and tennis courts as its recreational options, according to its website.
However, "the existing pool and related facilities are outdated, which is why the club has elected to modernize the pool facilities and construct the golf center," a public notice published in the Burlington County Times stated.The notice indicated that the club specifically wants to:

- Redesign the in-ground swimming pool
- Build an approximately new 1,280-square-foot locker room area and an approximately 1,867-square-foot covered dining area and fireplace terrace
- Construct a new playground
- Update its parking, landscaping, lighting "and related infrastructure"
- Tear down the existing one-story, roughly 2,766-square-foot bag storage and practice building and create a new two-story golf center building that consists of a pro shop, bag storage area and bar with an outdoor deck
- Remove the existing porches will be construct a new covered porch
"No changes to any other club amenities are proposed," according to the notice.
The 121-year-old country club is scheduled to request approval of these site plans and the bulk variances necessary to allow their construction at the next Cinnaminson Township Planning Board meeting.
